Description
This is Brendan Gleeson as Alastor Mad-Eye Moody, possibly my favourite character in the HP series (It's a toss between him and Snape)
I love Brendan's portrayal and although I didn't mind the eye-patch, I thought 'what the hell, I'll do a painting of him without one' and so I did. I also gave him slightly longer hair.
Sorry for the horrid quality...you guessed it - CrapScan!!
Done in Acrylic and incredibly difficult as I decided to do him in a unique pose and using several Gleeson photos for reference.
Mr. Moody has been further immortalized on the Swish and Filk website, devoted to Potter style Filks, found at:

I don't mind the strap thingy,I don't care about it,because the thing that is awesome is his 'Mad Eye' whatever it has strap or not
this is like the movie version and book version combination(more gray hair,more scars,no strap but still looks like in the movie)I know that people complain that in movie Moody looked a bit too off,but that movie version looked cool
love this picture,and I like this character,i hated when in the end of GoF it revealed that is not real Mad Eye Moody but in fact Barty Crouch Jr.
and when Moody died in Deathly Hollows,I think this character should gets more major role,because in GoF it's all Barty Crouch Jr.
