Marvin the paranoid Android tutorial

I received a note asking for some tips on shading by a fellow deviant. Instead of rambling on for pages about shading with acrylics and what I do when I attempt to blend the paints, I've decided to do a tutorial/stages thang.

As you can see, I've decided to use Marvin from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy as an example. The reason being that he's metallic and there'll be a bit of blending and shading to do.

If there are any questions about stuff I'm doing with the painting and whatnot, then ask away. I'll be checking back to this account and twitter every so often whilst I paint Marvin.

Mwuhahahaha, I'll show them ALL! The way I'm going I think most of it will be finished today. That is unless I become very distracted or just fall asleep at the desk, which is always a possibility XD

XD 'I need your clothes, your boots and your paintbrushes.' I don't think Terminators would drink as much coffee as I do...well, I'm assuming.

I have yet to seek him out on Twitter. Should be an interesting one to follow though.

The book is terrific, completely mental and you'll absolutely love Marvin

I couldn't imagine how they'd fit everything into a movie, which I don't believe they had.

You can't have this shirt! D:> Its a classic! (its got a quote from the Blue Oyster Cult Christopher Walken skit) NUUUU... but i do have a lot of crap paint brushes you can have! 8D (watches you take off on my scooter.) Good thing you didn't ask for the shotgun, least threatening Terminator ever!

I don't think i followed him yet, i haven't been on in a little while.

I also haven't gotten time lately to actually read a book. ;_; But the movie, i think, crammed too much in so that it felt like it was cluttered and suffered from it.
